Predators is a film directed by Nimrod Antal and Italian movie released on July 14, 2010. The film is a reboot or a remake but more a kind of 'sequel' in what was, historically speaking, it would immediately after the events in 1987 (although there have been four other films dedicated to this particular alien monster, if we include the two Alien vs.Predator). Nimrod Antal (Vacancy, Kontroll) uses nothing less than the original screenplay written by Robert Rodriguez back in 1994 but never developed if not precisely lately. Rodriguez in this case, however, plays the role of the producer of the film.
The story begins with a shot on Royce (Academy Award winner Adrien Brody), who finds herself catapulted (by parachute though) on an island that apparently seems to be deserted. Soon the mercenary (and former military) will realize not only that but many other 'warriors' have been his own treatment. This is Nikolai (Oleg Taktarov), according to Russian special forces, Isabelle (Alice Braga) from the target Cecchina infallible, a member of the Yakuza or Hanzo (Louis Ozawa Changchien), Cuchillo (Danny Trejo), a drug trafficker, Stans (Walton Goggins), who was about to be executed by the death penalty, Mombasa (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali), enrolled among the soldiers of Sierra Leone and finally Edwin (Topher Grace), a physician and only 'civilized' group (whose shape and function will be a real mystery, revealed only at the end of the film).
soldiers lost and of course by no means confident each other, trying to figure out where they are and to explore the island. Isabelle says that most likely, given the current climate and the structure of the jungle, should be in the Amazon rainforest. But soon they realize the poor unfortunate that the sun never sets on the island and then, near a cliff, will show an 'other world' (ie a landscape with several planets aligned) and eventually include up to find himself another planet. Obviously many will face hidden dangers in the jungle (including a bunch of deformed dogs) and after this attack that will be able to understand to be the 'victims', to be the protagonists of a kind of 'hunting'. Will encounter in a strange imagine that Noland (Lawrence Fishburne), to monsters aliens survived thanks to a secret cave made from a kind of laboratory ex. He will tell his story to the poor, unfortunate though now living on this island for far too long, seems to be mad. In fact, try to kill his 'guests' will be even more clever and quick to escape. The final reserve at the viewer as it is full of surprises though, in some ways reminiscent of the end of 1987. Antal
successful, with the help of the wise Rodriguez, churning out work that certainly does not stand for originality but certainly one of the four films dedicated to the Predators is the most likely managed better. The final flaw of the gaps and perhaps at some point (of course all of this portends a sequel) but the film is quite enjoyable and certainly no shortage of twists and Action. Other gems of the film are a Predator, which incorporates verbatim the original Predator, and the theme of the new film is a classic reference to the theme of the film 87. Adrien Brody, the absolute and 'boss' of warriors, of course, does not stand for physical, but manages to compensate for these shortcomings with the skill and craftsmanship of a true Academy Award for the note. Among the actors should be numbered certainly a very good Alice Braga (I Am Legend) who can play the role perfectly the soldier and the sniper and the ever legendary Danny Trejo (who will soon meet again in their direct Machete by Rodriguez). The film then turns out to be enjoyable and at this point we have to wait for the sequel to bridge the 'why' that were not disclosed in this film.
