It is what triggered a vampire that has raged in the pages of this third and concluding volume in the saga of Sir Varney, no other blood-sucking literature excites us so vividly, with such ingenuity and perseverance in devising its yet another feast of blood, 'further identity theft or the new form designed to serve their needs and create so demonic that chain of short stories features that make the work itself: a novel written in the name of the river penny dreadfuls. The introduction of Mauro Boselli (the author of Dampyr) good sheds light on the characteristics inherent in the penny-tax and literature, and precisely in his passionate description of how to discover it was inevitable the emergence of a multitude of characters and plot twists in the same novel, and as a repetition of the bloody ambush of Varney the Vampire were tinged with a great imaginative fervor not to bore the reader. We are thus faced with a final chapter of the saga, except for two or three more full-bodied and complex plots, is built almost like an anthology of Gothic tales of horror with a same main character, finishing with the fun, fascinating and immediately disperse a greater fear of any player who is about to read any book purchased: to be bored. Varney the vampire will appear from time to time in the lives of many families, all engaged in the conquest of their welfare, each in a different city in a different region and will put these same lives upside down with their appetites, their predatory instincts alongside Sometimes his cynicism, his melancholy sometimes decadent, romantic and almost suicidal. Young girls predate the night in a bath of blood, marriage obtained and lost; travel the length and breadth of England, Naples, Venice, multiple resurrections Varney, homicide adventurous pursuits: the final chapter of Sir Varney fun and surprises giving us an ending totally unpredictable, and not before being told to us by the same protagonist's existence, and it is revealed the reason for the subdued nature of his inner conflict between good and evil, between the ideal and moral impulse voltage of which vampirism is a metaphor.
Authors: Initially Thomas was Preskett Prest - London writer whom we owe the story Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street (which inspired John Schlesinger and Tim Burton for their film about cannibal barber, respectively Shop of Horrors of Sweeney Todd, 1997 and Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, 2008) to be considered the author of Varney the Vampire, later, however, made the name of James Malcolm Rymer, a civil engineer to supplement his income devoted to writing on commission for the publisher Lloyd , by many considered more reliable in terms of authorship. Rymer probably scores, coordination, working with several other writers remain unknown, so that the wording of the text seems more come from a "school", or an assembly line, in which the author's name remains anonymous and does not appear, however, of prime importance ...
